I guess most people on here like seeing footballs hit the dirt five feet in front of the receivers. A mobile quarterback is nice as long as they can throw the damn ball.

They are not far from being one and the same. Just a few more yards a loss of a play.
That is a false preposition. I think most of us want a well rounded and competent QB that can beat teams with their mind, arm and sometimes their legs. Those QBs exist.

Ok. 2nd and short to third and long is " not far" from 2nd and short to third and short. Tell that to Dana and Rhule.
Ok. How many times in the last 25 years has it been third and long just to watch your mobile QB throw the ball into the dirt. Here’s an example of Frank Solich play call: 3rd and 10 and I knew automatically that it was a QB draw up the middle because Lord couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. It’s not a knock on Jamal Lord; most of our “running QBs” can’t complete a first down when we need it.
This posts seems completely relevant. Why are we critiquing JL and FS as if it matters today?
Most of the time you are having to pick some sort of blend of those three. Yes, guys exist that have great football mind, can throw the ball well, and can make plays happen with their legs. Those guys are named Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, etc. The number of guys that do all three at a high level are very few.
You can go back through the list of Nebraska QBs of the last couple of decades and see this. There are going to be deficiencies somewhere in a player's college game, unless you hit the lottery. Guys like Taylor Martinez and Tommy Armstrong weren't super accurate passers. They still made good throws, but the consistency wasn't there in the passing game like it was with someone like DR. That said, their ability to make things happen with their legs helped offset some of the passing woes.
Nebraska is likely going to get a guy that has some sort of flaws. It's the job of the coaches to try and hide those flaws the best they can while they work to develop and put that person in situations to be successful.
