I went to Costco and bought a case of 20 Lobster tails, bought a whole beef tenderloin and a Ribeye roast (I prefer ribeye). working on ideas for sides. Kids start showing up Friday so i will have a few meals to make.

Any thoughts on sides as loaded twice bake potatoes have been demanded but i like to venture with other sides.

I started doing a brussel sprout side dish about ten years ago because I was sick of the same old crap. Lots of whining and complaining while I was putting it together....now they freak if I suggest not making it. It's freaking good.

The picture shows halved sprouts, but I halve them, then slice the halves thinly lengthwise and it's a much better finished dish.

Like I said, they won't let me swap it out these days and none of them like veggies.

I had some brussel spouts at a restaurant in San Diego recently that we're really good. Had bacon and some sort of mustard sauce. This recipe looks like it could turn out something similar. Will definitely try it out.

I agree, there are a bunch of really good Brussels sprouts recipes out there that have changed my opinion of that horrible plant.
