It's almost like the conference's know who the money makers are and make sure they get all the breaks they canThem and Tejas. The Horns didn't have to pay their first SEC road game until late October, against Vandy, and they almost lost. When you start peeling back the onion on these "for sure" playoff teams, you quickly realize several have had a really soft schedule. Tejas has impressed this year, but they are plenty beatable.

Money helps but it is more important to have the right culture and chemistry. So Ryan Day has a 20 million Dollar Nil payroll to use and hired Chip Kelly as his OC and yet they lost to the best team on their Schedule in Oregon as Will Howard Ran out the Clock and today OSU scored 10 points vs 6-5 Michigan all in the first half and Howard couldn't do anything at the end to move the ball. Day has all the things needed MONEY, Big Time assistants, players seems Day is the Issue.
Ohio State might have found out that $$$$$$$$$$$ does not equal success but then again now they get three weeks off and will be ready for the playoff only time will tell how it all plays outMoney helps but it is more important to have the right culture and chemistry.
When you have turnover chains and longs seasons, some of this is expected.seems there's a bunch of that in college football these days.
I think Day is something like 47-1 in Big 10 games against teams not named "Michigan". One team has his number. To be honest the guy is 10 and 2 and probably in the playoff with a shot to win the NC, I really can't imagine him being fired. Just don't see it happening.
Can't lose to your hated rival 4 straight years. They have an ego to protect. I say he's gone.To be honest the guy is 10 and 2 and probably in the playoff with a shot to win the NC, I really can't imagine him being fired. Just don't see it happening.
Yeah… tend to agree. It will depend on how they do in the CFP.To be honest the guy is 10 and 2 and probably in the playoff with a shot to win the NC, I really can't imagine him being fired. Just don't see it happening.

I've been saying that on here for a long time.
There is a lot of money at stake for a conference to get and/or keep a team in the CFP.
No way the SEC could or would allow The Ramblin Wreck of Georgia Tech to slam that money vault closed.
