The Rivals 'Experts' see the Huskers landing commits from Peat, Curry, Valentine & Moore. They see Shelton going to Washington. Frankly I agree with that. They also see Sebastian Smith (safety) getting an offer and being 'N' if Shelton and Ford (looks like Cal or Utah bound) fall through which is a real possibility.

Final John Talman chat on USC before signing day:

--Moore he expects to play CB to start based on his discussions with Coach Raymond....could play WR, but thinks he will probably play WR

--Some disappointment in Andrus Peat from some 'experts' (thus his drop in the recruiting service rankings) at the way he finished up his high school time....Talman thinks it stems from his Under Armour practices....he did not show as much as they were expecting....last 5-star on Rivals.....in the actual game he showed really well....tremendous game....Peat a better pass blocker than a run blocker and Whitaker the exact opposite....is a left tackle.....

--USC may get Shelton....his dream school....hard to say....thinks it hurts Nebraska's chances....not what the Huskers wanted to hear from him.....

--Thinks we need to get 3 of 5 for this to be a good class.....

--Thinks Peat will be 'N' as he does Curry and Valentine....Moore he does too....however, LA Tech pushing him hard to stay home.....thinks he will still come to Nebraska, but the staying home factor could play out....we shall see....

--Thinks Huskers will finish third in the Big Ten as far as recruiting classes go....behind Ohio State and Michigan....and pretty high in the national rankings...not bad for a small class.....

--Thinks Cross is very impressive as a player...much faster than a most guys his size.....also really like King Frazier....

--Thinks the Huskers will get Peat, Moore, Curry and Valentine.....Shelton going elsewhere....

These are the days when coaches earn their ridiculously out-of-whack salaries. Your entire livelihood based on the whims of 18 year-olds? No thanks.

...all part of the greatest show on turf, though. T-minus 5 hours until commit #1!
