Our leadership from top to bottom provided a united front throughout this ordeal. How long has it been since we could say that? Now I am optimistic about the future of Nebraska football. I believe we finally have the right president, chancellor, AD, and coaching staff in place to succeed in returning this program to its proper place. We have heard about the support provided by leadership over the past couple of years from HCSF. We have just witnessed it for ourselves and it sure feels good.
I agree. The way we led the charge for the league was impressive; from the players' and parents' involvement, to Frost's steadfast approach, to the advocacy from administration. For the first time in quite a while, it seems like all the pieces are there; everyone's on the same page. Cohesion in perspective, alignment of priorities, shared passion. That's what made us great for decades, and it's relieving and encouraging to see it's back. I think other programs may see it too.
In a few years we may look back on this entire conference management debacle and say it showed something special. Not trying to get ahead of myself, but it seems we have the foundation. Our record may not show it, but in some very important ways Nebraska football is back. Now let's win some games! GBR!
