OC Dana Holgorsen Plans to Bring in "20-30 Transfer Targets"

Every time Nebraska has thought about or tired to move him to a guard position We have Tackles get hurt and he has to move back to tackle where he has struggled hopefully if he is back he can play guard which is what the experts say is his best position for success
Agreed.
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the kid because of these very reasons.

Good thread here. With the craziness of the portal, I think we should be able to pluck an OL or two from the portal. But I agree with many here. Brix, Sledge and our newbies have a TON of potential with our carryovers (Luto, Evans, Gottula and Corcoran.) I think we have more long term upside and higher potential.

Again, this is THE year Heinrich should probably make his move. Shouldn't Gramstad (sic) have a year of eligibility (redshirt)? There should be LOTS of QB in the portal.

We really need to upgrade our WR for Dylan and give him better OL protection. And we REALLY need to find DL. We have been strafed with departures.

I doubt a QB, unless it's another one that's willing to sit 4th string. 105 really limits the roster. We have DR, HH, and now TJ. Carrying 3 is likely to be the norm going forward.
Haarberg is changing positions so we will for sure be going after one

Hope your right.
I'm not expecting much out of husker football next season
I don’t have any idea what to expect. I do think Dana probably has more talent right now, than anywhere he’s ever been at any time. I guess we shall see what they can do with it, or, what’s left of it after the portal.

There will be a partial roster makeover. Whoever ends up being the DC may do the same on defense.
In listening to Rhule, partial roster makeovers will be the norm now...like it or not. I think you're going to see volatile swings in teams fortunes from one year to the next like Indiana. I hate it but nobody asked me.

I hate it, too. But I liked what Rhule said about having two “groups”, a developmental group and a “play now” group. He’s still invested in development and still looking for diamonds in the rough, but he recognizes that it’s a win-now environment and that the competition is working day and night to get transfers integrated into their systems to improve now.

Not sure I agree.

You cannot count on him to remain healthy so the guys playing tackle have to get a majority of snaps. Gottula, Seagren, Knutson, Brix, Taumua, Ruggeroli, Peters, Davidson and others need to step up and step in.

If you have Sledge, Evans and Knutson as your starters at Guard and Corcoran can work his way in as a rotational player then ok …

I agree I don't want him anywhere near a tackle postion but if he is healthy and back next spring and wins a guard postion then I will take that as a postive and the younger linemen can rotate in and get experiance at guard without being a starter and recieving their first snaps of their career

I doubt a number as low as 3 for QB would become the norm. Too much can happen from an injury perspective at the most important position. And you can't just go out and sign a rental or get a trade like the NFL.

I would imagine Rhule wants at least 4 QBs at any time. I'm sure there are dudes out there who would be good with being depth with a chance to play and to get a free degree.

Agree with both. I would like to see Corcoran healthy for himself and N! A full season at guard maybe what N and Corcoran needs! GBR

Was he the one that has like 5 return TD's?

HH is likely playing another position next year.
