NU Wrestling B1G Championship, NCAA Brackets


Saturday, Feb. 6. The Huskers will wrestle the Hoosiers at 1 p.m. CT and the Spartans at 3 p.m. CT.

Ten Huskers have earned national rankings headed into this weekend's tri-dual. Among those ranked, six fall in the top-10.
Eric Schultz leads the Huskers with a No. 2 ranking by InterMat, FloWrestling and TrackWrestling at 197 pounds.
Mikey Labriola remains at No. 4 at 174 pounds by InterMat and earns his highest ranking of third by FloWrestling.
Chad Red Jr. holds on to his No. 9 ranking at 141 pounds and ranks as high as fifth by TrackWrestling.
Liam Cronin (125) earned his first top-10 InterMat ranking of the season this week, coming in at No. 9. He ranks as high as sixth by FloWrestling and TrackWrestling.
Taylor Venz (184) comes in at No. 9 by TrackWrestling. Closing out the top-10 rankings is
Christian Lance, who made a seven-spot jump to No. 10 in the InterMat rankings this week. He ranks as high as eight by TrackWrestling.

"Eric Schultz, currently rated No. 1 in the nation at 197 pounds, earns the top seed at the conference championships for the Huskers. He becomes the first Nebraska wrestler since 2015 to earn a #one-seed at the event.

Both Liam Cronin (125 pounds) and Mikey Labriola (174 pounds) received No. 2 seeds for their respective weight classes. At 141 pounds, Chad Red Jr. enters the 2021 conference tournament seeded fourth. Christian Lance received a five-seed at heavyweight. "

"Big Ten Network will offer live linear and streaming coverage of the entire Big Ten Wrestling Championships. Session I begins Saturday, March 6 at 9 a.m. (CT) and Session II semifinals start at 6:30 p.m. (CT). After Session I NEBRASKA sits at #2 with all wrestlers still alive in the tournament.

At 149, Lovett upsets the #2 seed Murin from Iowa (11-6) to move on!
At 165, Robb upsets the #2 seed Braunagel from Illinois (9-5) to move on!

Session II semifinal and consolation matches begin at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on B1G channel. Wrestling continues Sunday at 11 a.m. (CT) with consolation rounds before the championship coverage begins at 3 p.m. (CT).
