I havent really seen it bother any server though! From any team! The servers seem to zone it out!
I'm not sure they so much allowed it as didn't see it, at least at first. Later in the match I did notice what looked like some signs piled up and not being used. At the time I figured now they you're down 2 sets you're not showing your signs anymore. Maybe that was why, don't know for sure.
I do know they are taking heat for it on social media. One person who's videos I see commenting on volleyball said she thought it was very low class, especially considering Harper acknowledged what happened and had been very open and transparent about it and the mental health issues people go through.
A few years ago we brought our niece and her mom (my wife's sis) back from Georgia for a college visit. We went to the VB match at Devaney, and after the first "foul" by Purdue (girl in the net or something), my SiL started to chant "YOU can't DO that!"
I turned to her to say "we don't do that here" at the same time that the people in the next 2 rows turned around and told her the same thing...
