Also of interesting note, according to FAUOwlAccess, Florida Atlantic athletic director Craig Angelos broke the news that Nebraska and FAU have a game scheduled for 2014.We're looking to get that confirmed from Nebraska's end, but if true, a potential Pelini Bowl awaits.

I doubt it. We have two open dates right now in 2014 and one of the games we know of is at Fresno so I would think they would want both of those open games to be home games. But don't know.

I'm not so sure. If he does well the coffers will open and look for FAU to move to the Big East. That makes him a BCS coach in a sweet area with a sweet deal.

A Nebraska official confirmed the two teams have signed a contract locking them into a game.The date for that game is not yet known. The Huskers currently have non-conference games at Fresno State (Sept. 13) and a home game against Miami (Sept. 20) on the schedule for 2014.
