NU no respect for IU

I don’t have a problem with them laying on the ground. They are pushing the limits. That’s good coaching imo. Until there is a rule, push the boundaries. Deal with it.
NO, it's cheap play. Just like flopping in the NBA, it's classless, cheesy as all hell, and it shows a lack of sportsmanship imo.

If we go by your, "deal with it" credo, should our Huskers start t do this every game that the other team is driving? HELL NO!

Want to stop the flopping? Make the flopper, whether injured or not, sit out the next 15 minutes of the game. Might put a stop to this nonsense.
That's a little extreme, but making them sit out the rest of the particular series might not be such a bad idea.... You flop, you can't come back into play until your team is back on the field.

There isn’t a rule preventing it. So I say whatever works. What if the guy is really hurt? Your gonna bitch anyway. It’s good coaching if you can get away with it. Lots of teams do it all the time.

We will have to agree to disagree. Win at all costs, hell, let's just fake an injury every time the opposing team makes a positive play. Just because there isn't currently a rule against crap tactics, doesn't mean it's right. If lots of teams jump off a bridge..... LOL

I have a problem with it only because as
“just a fan” I think it’s lame. However, if I’m a coach or player, whatever you gotta do to win within the boundaries baby. And flopping is within the boundaries. So it’s smart, and effective. Seems like we tend to be somewhat high/mighty at times and point out the faults and perceived lack of integrity within other programs/teams. Meanwhile, we keep getting sent to the woodshed.... Time to man up, play ball and develop a mindset of “whatever it takes” to get this thing rolling...

Good post. No one here would say a word if an NU player did it. I say push the boundaries. Whatever it takes.

I still disagree. I think it's cheap and cheesy just like it was in the NBA. I don't see it the same as holding and if the ref doesn't see it or call it, then it's not a penalty, I call it pussy football play. If the Huskers ever resort to that crap, I'd be pissed about it. JMHO

They should sit either for the rest of the series, or for the rest of the quarter. Coming back in after sitting for one play is BS.

To me, the flopping is a good sign.

When Oregon started getting good - and fast - the Pac 12 defenses flopped ALL. THE. TIME. They just weren't prepared to handle the offense.

I'm not saying that we have some elite offense (not yet), but seeing an opponent struggling to make adjustments so much that it requires them to fake injuries to get freebie timeouts gives me hope. Now the obvious wrinkle here is that we're talking about Indiana flopping and not Ohio State or Penn State flopping. But seeing an opponent have to resort to tomfoolery to gain an upper hand for their defense is pretty cool. Especially when we're on our 3rd or 4th QB and a bunch of guys are dinged up.

Yeah, like half the people on this board. Nebraska should have won the game with better effort. Especially on defense.

There is still a lot of people that think it should be easy to beat, Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, northwestern. It is not though.

Everyone has good players and coaches and a lot of money to put into it. You know it and I know it. Still lots of entitled fans.

Those teams are all better now than they have generally been over the last 40 years.

It seems fairly easy though for teams like Ohio St., Michigan, Penn St., Wisconsin, and (perhaps to a lesser extent) Iowa to beat teams like Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Northwestern. Sure, the big/good teams slip up once in awhile like Ohio St. - Purdue last year, but they win against the traditional also-rans at about a 90% clip. That's what makes it all the more frustrating when we seem to fit in more with the latter group than the former group.

My guess is that it has something to do with choosing the black jerseys. The fact we went against our stated plan of wearing after a strong defensive game. It shows we thought we would beat these guys IMHO.

I’m definitely one of those entitled fans. I believe I’m entitled to expect that Nebraska beats Indiana every time they take the field. I believe my $4000 in seat licenses, the other hundreds of millions of dollars poured into the program, better recruiting classes than Indiana, the tradition and brand recognition, the investment in the facilities and coaches, and endless loyalty of the fan base, entitles me and fan base to almost guaranteed home wins over Indiana. I’m ridiculously entitled.
