Let's see...5 straight losing seasons. How many games did we win last year again? Any talk of being ranked at this point in time is utter nonsense. I've said before, I do think we have the talent to be ranked but that could have been said in any of the previous 5 seasons. Unfortunately our brand name doesn't get us a pre-season ranking anymore. Gotta prove things on the field now.
Well we will definitely find out one way or another. He better win quickly because Miami doesn't seem to mind pulling the trigger on firing coaches.
Cristobol seemed to have really good teams at Oregon and then they would lost a game down the stretch. Last year they got throttled by Utah twice in the matter of weeks.
I am with GNT just like with Texas and even Nebraska I will believe it when I see it.

I went to NCSU for grad school. They are pretty good. Doering (sp?) is a good coach. I believe he was at N. Illinois when they almost beat us or did beat us...

We've played the 'Canes 12 times, splitting the series 6-6. At least four of those games were for national titles and four games featured the number 1 team in the country.
We don't have the length of history like we do with Oklahoma, but pound-for-pound, Miami is a fantastic Husker rival and for whatever dark magic reasons, we seem to both get good and get terrible at the same time.

Wierd ranking Huskers anywhere near the top 25. But all of these guys like to have at least one or two teams that no one else has on the list. Blind pig kind of thing. Might as well be us. No one checks these lists at the end of the season anyway.
