Current: Matt Rhule (Year 4)
2030: Jake Dickert, Wake Forest head coach

Dickert’s first season at Wake Forest produced a surprising nine wins. After an impressive stint under difficult circumstances at Washington State, the 42-year-old Wisconsin native has “future Big Ten coach” written all over him.

Who will be coaching your school in 2030? Predicting every Power 4 football program’s head man

The idea: Project the head coach for each Power 4 school, plus Notre Dame, in 2030. A truly impossible (but very fun) task.

The NY Times did an article predicting every P4’s head coach in 2030.

Interesting that the Times has Rhule moving on to...no where.
This has to be one of the dumbest ideas for an article I've ever seen. It's hard enough to know who will be next year, let alone four years from now.

I'm not betting there will even be college athletics in 2030.

Seems much is being done to bring the era of college athletics to an end.
And yet college sports are at a pinnacle in viewership and earnings. Would the fans and coaches like to see some stability in NIL and transfers? Yes. But it’s not changing the experience we feel on Saturdays. If anything it is preventing some teams from stockpiling backups.

I agree that I still enjoy game days, even though I could do without the instability the rest of the week/year. Legal contracts are going to be the only way to bring stability. I'm not certain how that would work, with the underage players, who would become of legal age while under contract. A lot of things to be worked out.
