I do not believe there will be a letdown, but expect a ton of players to get on the court for this one. That is a good thing: we are so loaded with talent!!!

Texas has been experimenting with new serves and so far this year it has been terrible. 0 aces today and it was probably their best serving match all year.
Texas was #2 because there hasn't been an updated rating and TV wanted to say 1 versus 2. They've been playing around with the 6-2, and new serves that weren't working. Lose the opener, barely beat unranked Marquette, and for some reason refuse to play the setter that led your team last year. Texas fans have been wondering what's going on.beat them by 6 twice and once by 9!! #2 team in the country must be embarrassed.

That's not to say they're not going to be good later, they do have some great players.

"The only one that matters" doesn't happen unless the other ones matter. This one mattered a lot. Crushing the #2 team at the beginning of the season will earn dividends in every match to come.

The gals seemed to handle Texas serves without a problem
Don’t forget that this is only the 2nd match of the season. However, beating Texas was importantly psychologically for the Huskers.
Texas has an outstanding coach that will most likely have they primed and ready to go come tournament time.
Celebrate the win now but remember it is how you are playing come tournament time…not match two.
Serve practice everyday.In all, Dani seemed so relieved, with all the hullabaloo and top teams to play so early, they did so great against their opponents. "Serve "practice every day!
I remember Emmett Johnson saying he wanted to catch 200 passes everyday so he could get better.
Didn't Charlie McBride make a comment about tackling practice daily?
Tom Osborne said recruiting is like shaving. If you don't do it everyday, you get to looking a little grubby.
If you want to be good at something, practice it everyday.
The volleyball games this season so far, show serving practice has really paid off.
