I don’t mind them… I’d like to see the full stripes on the pants, but I can certainly live with it. Go Big Red!

Adidas on a lot of their Fashion wear has gone to the shortened stripes. Often they are full at the top and shortened at the bottom. But I have also seen like this where they are shortened at the bottom. We should always remember that the apparel companies are in business to sell their stuff. So the unis will thus often reflect the latest trends. Nike does the same especially with Oregon.

No doubt... I guess it is a good compromise for their product and Husker tradition (although they haven't always had the stripes.) The 94' team had the stripes, while the 95' team did not wear stripes on the pants.

Once again, NCAA ref's ignore and not enforced rules ...

Under NCAA football rules (Rule 1-4-4), all players are required to wear pants that fully cover the knees and any mandatory knee pads. If a player's uniform is out of compliance, they can be forced to leave the game for at least one down until the issue is corrected​

I remember of couple of years ago the NCAA announced they were going to strictly enforce the rule. Didn't happen and the problem got worse.

Whether we like it or not it is coming. I would prefer Nebraska keep a “clean” look. However, it is just a matter of time.

I like them. The numbers are more classic old school. I also like the shortened stripes on the leg. it is a cleaner look. The numbers actually remind me of the throw backs from the Suh era

This is the best alternate, throwback, tribute, whatever…hands down. Had they used this thinner number, these new ones wouldn’t be quite as bad.

I have been a fan since 1973 and they’ve changed the jerseys many times. Looking back, they were pretty hideous in the late 70s. That said, no one really cared that I remember before the Internet…and some on this board that parrot other peoples opinions.
