Nebraska vs Wisconsin (10/6/18)

This is going to be an extremely LOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG day......

Probably. I'm just holding out hope that a miracle can happen and the Huskers will let it all hang out and inexplicably have a reltively clean game while Wisky implodes. With all the "how can that even happen???" we've seen this year, anything is possible.

But not likely, unfortunately.

Personally, channeling Sean Connery from “Hunt for Red October,” I’d give us one chance in ten.

But that’s still a chance. :Shout:

For me, the key is for Nebraska to control Wisconsin's running game. If Nebraska can hold up against the running game, they actually would have a chance to pull the upset here.

That said, I'm not sure that I have seen anything to suggest that Nebraska can stop the run. Nebraska's run defense has been a serious issue for the past two seasons and especially against teams that feature a strong running game. If Wisconsin runs as easily as Michigan, Purdue, and to a degree our other opponents, tonight could be a blowout of epic proportions.

Our next opponent, Northwestern leading Michigan State at halftime, 14-6. That is two strong performances Northwestern is stringing together back to back. Our road doesn't get any easier.

Not to mention the face that Wisconsin's run game is better than Michigan's. And Michigan had no problem running the ball on us.

I'm not overly concerned with our offense. Not saying we'll light it up, but my concerns are almost completely with our defense.

Yup. I was chalking this year up to a rebuild coming in. Not to THIS degree, but I wasn't expecting this to be a particularly great year and that I'd look to the next 2 or 3 for seeing how things will go.

Confident that Frost will get the job done.

If we're hoping for a similar path for Frost ...

Tom Herman has truly turned Texas around in season two.

Leading OU 24-17 at halftime.
