It's so weird playing against a team that has no hesitation to just chuck stuff up, and has good shooters who can get hot. There was a program back in the 80s called Paul Quinn College, who had a coach who was an actual undertaker and funeral home director. Good article in Sports Illustrated on them. They wheeled him out in a coffin to start the game playing church music, then would bust out into some Motown. They were insane, but so fun. Without a 3 point line they averaged 101 points a game. I don't think they ever took a shot in the lane, and if they did, it was a breakaway dunk. The entire roster was out of Houston, 6'5" or 6'6" and about 185. Zero hesitation to shoot, and they shot from DEEP. The game I saw them they had guys get called 3 times for standing out of bounds when their shots went up from the wing.
If you aren't used to that, it's a hard thing to play against. And god forbid they are hot, because opponents will panic and try to play that style with them, and usually get run off the court. I'm impressed our defense against UTRVG was able to force enough errant shots to let us pull away. Teams like that are a crap shoot, especially with a team that is pretty new and trying to gain an identity.
