Looking at all the stats without knowing the score you’d think the Huskers won. However timely penalties and taking away a CLEAR 1st down pickup changed the game just enough. Hope the cockeyed refs are proud of all the holding calls they missed. Of course it can’t be a devious plot all those bad calls Nebraska suffers with BIG refs... just a coincidence? Right? It will all even out over the next 40 years!

And our passing will only get better.

I wish Raiola would have pitched the ball to Fidone at the end of that long run and Hartzog try to cut back inside of that 300+lb offensive lineman on his INT return. We are a bit like, when was it, 2001, when we stunk in the red zone scoring TDs. Two great scoring chances thwarted by a lack of creativity. I had a sinking feeling we wouldn’t get 6 on either short drive after those plays.

We had the semblance of a run game which opened up the offense. Can we play like that down the stretch? Hope so.
We can if Satt stops calling passes on running downs when the running game is working. This is not a video game, gotta commit to the run if we want offensive success.

Please please please explain to me how OSU does not have ONE offensive penalty. I try not to whine about refs but when Adam Carriker makes a the point about the game becoming a billion dollar industry that not only the B1G but all of college football has a serious problem is telling. OSU should have had100 yards just in holding penalites. Can't put all the blame on the coaches when they play the refs too. The AD needs to run this up to the BIG commissioner.

There was one play where Butler was tackled by the OT right in front of the refs and it wasn’t called. Couldn’t miss it, yet it wasn’t called.

Box score says OSU had more yards, fewer penalty yards, fewer turnovers, punted better. I assume most of us do a little math on our heads on these things. NU averaged 4.1 yards per play. OSU averaged 6.1 yards per play. I wouldn’t look at that box score and expect us to have won.

You seemed to have skipped over TOP? That’s a big stat imo but hey to each their own math. Penalties were huge imo...

A million dollar plus super senior with top wrs, yes they outdid our true frosh with a shored up wr room, at their house, with refs calling the plays.
Now mosey over to running.
