Nebraska vs Maryland Practice Week :Wednesday 30 Sept Coaches Radio Show

Welp . . . that's not fantastic news. Guess we'll be getting a healthy serving of Mozee, Ives and Genatone. Hope they can get the job done. Who's left beyond those guys? Booth? Maybe have to throw Hunter back there if there are injuries?

All things being equal, I'd rather have Rule and Nelson healed up for Indiana. But I'm not looking past Maryland even one bit. Would have preferred less RB issues.

Rogaloski is a beat writer for MD

Washington was 18-38 for 143 yards with four picks vs UCLA. They only ran the ball for 40 yards and 64 the week before vs VA Tech.

Washington though young is a very good QB do he can not be taken for granted

Mozee. I would feel pretty confident against Maryland doing a good job

Thankfully we have three pretty good "backs in the rotation.

Mozee arguably the best receiver of the.three.

Ives I would think would be the backup with Genatone used in a situational role like last week

You want Nelson and Rule to hopefully be ready for Indiana and Oregon

Rule hopefully does not have a high ankle sprain

I would hope Mekhi dresses just in case.

Rule was limping noticeably on sideline last week.

Ives is a nice, big back. Mozee solid. Maybe we even get a Conor Booth sighting.

Spy Washington and we are a good pass defense

I agree. This is a good opportunity for Mozee and Ives. We have seen enough from Mozee and Ives to know they have talent. While having Rule and Nelson in the game is certainly optimal, I am eager to see how Mozee in particular handles the lead role. He hasn’t played enough in any game this year to get that RB rhythm thing going. Mozee might have a big day receiving and screens and getting him in the flats might be potent.

Genatone and Booth both need to be ready because if Mozee or Ives gets hurt, they will become very important.

I think we will be fine absent another injury. If Mozee shines and gets solid production against this B1G foe, these reps and confidence he would gain will greatly benefit the team in the upcoming gauntlet of games.
