Match for the series tomorrow. Two exciting games so far. Hope the bats come out a little stronger tomorrow.
Today’s game canceled due to threat of inclement weather, even though it will be clear and in the low 70s in Oklahoma during that time. They say winter advisory in Kansas and Nebraska the reason, but apparently South Dakota State will stay and play a game there. Seems a little curious to me.
I thought this was odd as well, we were all set to watch the game here in NY where it is 20 degrees right now lol. The weather in Oklahoma seems fine right now, so maybe it’s because of after the game travel? Who knows.
Maybe both teams thought there was more to lose with a loss than gain with a win? So blame the possibility of weather on the trip home? Like you said, who knows?

The huskers are ranked 5, 7, 9 and 10 in various week 4 rankings. They are 8–5 in games against teams in the top 25. 6-0 against unranked teams. In the 30 regular season games left, probably the three against UCLA in Lincoln are the only games left against ranked teams. Assuming both Nebraska and UCLA play well against the other B1G teams, that series will have huge meaning in the Huskers effort to host regionals. (Top 8 teams). Such a fun team to watch!

Texas State raises in Softball America's latest Mid-Major Softball Power Rankings after a series win over Southeastern Louisiana.
Nice to win all four this last weekend, and to start the Big Ten this weekend at home against Michigan. I’m sure the park will be packed to watch this team in conference.
Huskers stayed ## 5, 7, 9, and 10 in four major polls. 18-5. Texas Tech (25-1) and Texas (22-1) are 2and 3 in all polls. We know where those two losses come from.
Michigan is “others receiving votes”, and likely one of the 5 best Big Ten teams. A good test this weekend.

The Huskers advanced a spot in 3 of the four polls, and now hold rankings of ##5, 6, 8 and 9. The huskers are ahead of UCLA in two polls, and behind them in the other two polls. This should create a lot of interest in the series they play in Lincoln later this month.
The Huskers took care of business in East Lansing this weekend. They swept 2–0, 13–0, and 4–1. This sets up the coming weekends’ series with UCLA as a battle of top eight teams, and of undefeated conference teams. And it may be that only one B1G team is among the 8 teams hosting a super regional, so lots of reasons to watch this series.
Husker (24-5) rankings by the four services in Week 7 are essentially unchanged - a best ranking of 6 and worst of 9. Fun fact — #1 Texas and #2 Texas Tech are a combined 60-3. Two of those 3 losses are from the Huskers, underscoring that they can compete with anyone.
