The weekend will tell, of course, but I think we’re better. Carson tomorrow, then Cooper. Strikeouts notwithstanding, there were a ton of really good ABs tonight. Baseball, right John?
It’s obvious they are scared to death of their relief… (kind of like us lol) I mean since when do you let a kid pitch over 100 pitches in six innings and it’s not even a tournament game.
Tomorrow we need to jump on their starter, get into their relief quick….
And if Carson has another good game….

I am slowly getting used to it. Hmm! Not!
One of my sons pointed out that he thought that Nebraska trying to steal Home during the rundown was just exceptional good baseball all around.
He said even forcing the right handed second baseman to make the throw was the right move as he would have to turn and make a perfect throw very quickly.
And he did….executed beautifully….throw was PERFECT!
And our guy timed it perfectly.
A 50-50 play.
Just didn’t come out the way we wanted.

How we got out of the bottom of the fourth without them getting a run I am clueless…
Carson walks the first batter….. plunks the second batter….
Both these guys then steal second and third base…
And somehow we got three outs with nobody scoring.
I’m glad but I don’t know how that just happened.
And Caleb came in for the last Out right handed versus left handed and got the guy to ground out.
Crazy.
And Oregon continues to leave their starter in even though we just had six runs knocked off of him in one inning…and he’s in the 80s with pitch count.
They truly must be scared to death of their relief.

Then we had a sack bun to move him to second and he picked up the ball and threw it in the outfield

Super game by the Huskers! Fall behind by Five early? No big deal! ! Bring on our bats.. Pull ahead by three late in the game? No big deal! We only give one run back and ride Unger to a great close! This years team is so fun to watch, and I think they have the ability to play with anyone out there.
