99.9% of Husker fans wanted Scott Frost ... no question about it.
I can even accept an argument that Moos had little to no choice in hiring SF. [I personally am extremely bothered by the fact that he "knew" of SF's immaturity during the interview process ... and his admission in the book tells me that he and his $1M+ salary should have stood up and said no.]
Nevertheless ... my "hate" is that I believe Moos hired SF and then washed his hands ala Pontius Pilot saying "not my fault".
An AD's job is NOT finished when he hires a coach. His job includes managing the coach, providing the coaching a sounding board, guidance, assistance when needed, to provide resources and a counter balance. Look at Dannen with Rhule. He's not micro-managing Rhule but he is ... involved. He's supportive. He provides assistance when needed. He makes sure the train is still on the tracks and moving ... maybe not fast enough but moving in the right direction.
Moos allowed SF to run THE cash cow of Husker Athletics with little to no guidance. He didn't push back on staffing, assistants, behavior nor performance.
