As of last week we literally, literally had the toughest remaining schedule in the entire country53% chance of 6 wins, fwiw. That matches my eyeball estimate.
Lets just win one and get to 3 wins first.53% chance of 6 wins, fwiw. That matches my eyeball estimate.

football power index. It's just ESPN's computer ranking system. It does give game outcome and record forecasts, which is kind of cool. But obviously how accurate it all is...Dumb question here, but what does FPI stand for?
Gotcha. Thanks for the explanation.football power index. It's just ESPN's computer ranking system. It does give game outcome and record forecasts, which is kind of cool. But obviously how accurate it all is...
I’m down…….NDState has some room. Go Big Red. We are going to win some games!!53% chance of 6 wins, fwiw. That matches my eyeball estimate.
Weird rankings.
Here's some of the many oddities in the current FPI.
1-2 Wisconsin with the one win over Eastern Michigan is ranked just behind Nebraska at #27
Meanwhile, 4-0 Oklahoma State is #38 -- with a win at Boise and a win yesterday over #25 (AP) Kansas State.
4-0 Baylor is 31st -- while the team they just beat -- 2-2 Iowa State -- is #12. For that matter, Iowa State is also ranked well ahead of the other team they lost to -- Iowa. Explain that logic.
The stinking 2-2 Miami Hurricanes -- the team we were poking fun at after Michigan State beat em by 21 -- is ranked two spots ahead of Nebraska at #24 -- is that really the 24th best team in the nation??!
Texas is #8. The team that beat the Horns handily -- 4-0 Arkansas (who also has a win over Texas A&M) -- is 6 spots below Texas. Also, 4-0 Oregon is behind Texas with a win in Columbus!? Does the Longhorn Network operate the FPI?
This poll is full of holes that defy logic. Basically, it's garbage. Maybe it will correct itself as the season progresses.
