Contract extension is my biggest fear.
Reasons:
1. 5 - 7 and 6 - 6
2. Increases the buyout IF we need part ways, say at the end of year 4.
It sounds pearl-clutchingly dramatic, but coming on the heels of what seems like 99 other self-inflicted idiocies, an extension might be the straw that breaks this fan’s back. It’s not the stimulus, it’s the repeated application of the stimulus.

I think this difficult loss will reduce some of the fan enthusiasm and cause “some” to reconsider attending the game depending on bowl location,

Agreed. Really a missed opportunity yesterday. Finish 7-5 with victories over two rivals and end up in a New Year's Day Florida bowl game, and it would have been quite the crowd. NU will still travel well, but I have to imagine some are questioning the time commitment and investment after last night.
If I was in the position to go to the game, I would also have to reevaluate the situation given the cost/time etc…
My wife and I had a couple of conversations about going to the bowl game prior to yesterday. It was iffy, largely because of how the team has played the last four or five games, and last night was the nail in the coffin. We can't justify the investment to support this, other than the $20 I just paid David. We can't be the only ones who feel that way.
I don't blame you at all. I will be going, but only because my daughter is in the band. Otherwise, I would have no interest in traveling to watch a team that has lost five of their last six games. 7-5 with a win vs. Iowa would have felt different, and it was there for the taking.

I said nothing wrong, just stated my opinion. You are just a rude person. You are definitely worse than I thought.
Spiking the ball would have 100% been the correct call in that situation, all we needed was the field goal. Calm your tits man, stop attacking people because you disagree with their opinion.
Match us up with OU, that would be a fun game to watch. I think we would beat OU, again, just my OPINION for the snarky people out there.
Sorry I hurt your feelings. I didn’t realize casual conversation was considered “attacking” someone. I thought I was doing you a favor before you got to far down the kooky highway after an emotional loss.
I also didn’t know that there was only one 100% correct call for a given situation. So thank you for correcting me. I assumed it was a little less cut and dried than that. But I don’t have any reason to believe you aren’t an expert on these matters. So, I humbly stand completely corrected. I now know that the only correct thing to do in that situation was to spike the ball.
