Not trying to nitpick here but how do teams figure out how to rebound? To me rebounding is about effort and fundamentals. Iowa and the last few teams have been crashing the boards hard. IMO we only have about 2 players that consistently put in the effort to rebound and they are usually the 2 smallest guys on the court. Multiple times I seen guys just looking at the shot when Iowa put it up and not trying to find a body to box out. Wasn’t like this early in the year.We just lost of game we were favored to lose. We have played 26 games and we've really not lost a game yet that we were supposed to win. We were favored at home against Ill but I personally dont count that as there is no way we should be favored to beat a top ten team twice in one season.
Mich, MIch ST, Ill, purude........and everyone else have ALL lost games that they shouldnt have lost. Iowa came out and played unreal D. Kudos to their coach.
Teams have figured out how to slow our O down and how to rebound against us. I expect Fred to counter this somehow and we start playing better. I hope anyway.
Im disappointed but Im not going to pretend like this is a big deal. Our schedule is now easy and everyone else has games they are going to lose. We are still in a great spot but Fred needs to make some tweaks right not and I expect him too.
GBR

We are in a good spot. No way we lose 2 more. One mabye but not 2FWIW - all of the top Big Ten teams have matchups with each other down the stretch.
You can pick your winners in all the remaining games to see where a team would land in conference seedings. I put Huskers in to lose two more games and finishing in a tie with Michigan State and Wisconsin for fourth. Huskers have tie breakers over both, so would earn the double-bye.

NU hasnt had a bad loss all year, kinda knew this was going to be the one.
The book is out on this Husker team. Apply tremendous ball pressure and make this team dribble. We don't have the slashers to overcome it. They need to figure out how to counter this... back-screens are hopefully in our future.Right now they have a hard time beating anybody that was decent
Pains me to agree with you, but youre right.Mast just doesn't look the same.. I think he is just worn out. I guess if there is one thing Fred needed to do, but didn't was play some of bench players to take the huge burden off of Mast. Even if that meant getting beat. Early loses mean less than late season loses.
We will see how this plays out.

I think you have to pair Curtis with Berke, or even Garcia. He needs some help on the physical Defensive end of things, so we'd need to have one of those two in there with the assignment of helping bring some physicality. If we can put Curtis in a better position from a matchup perspective, we can limit his shortcomings. His foot speed is limited so we need to not expect him to do a lot of help defense on the outside, then needing to hurry back to cover the man rolling to the lane. Mast does a good job of that, as does Berke, so we need to account for that when we sub in Leo.Hes had a bum ankle but supposedly could have played last night. Also, he looked good on O. Just part of itI was in the building. Whistles were on Nebraskas side more often than not.
Refs were bad and inconsistent, but that wasnt the reason the Huskers lost.
Iowa fans had a lot more reason to complain than Nebraska fans through most of the game.Just part of it
That’s not remotely accurate.Iowa fans had a lot more reason to complain than Nebraska fans through most of the game.
