He either needs glasses, or he had money on the blue jays!!
My bet…..

Local Omaha guy….

And Creighton has book on him….. and knows that he basically (whether he knows it or not) subconsciously favors Creighton.

May even have a bone to pick against good ol NU.

Bob, I see this all the time on East Coast.

The college umpires are homers, people don’t wanna talk about it, but it’s the absolute truth. And the universities know who they want to hire and they want local guys because it’s cheaper as well.

And if you think we’re bad in the Midwest, you ain’t seen nothing till you see the SEC and ACC.

It’s why I hope the NCAA adopts a Robot balls and strike system similar to MLB.

Just stops this nonsense altogether.

OK, time to quit bitching about the middle relief pitching…. I’m sure those kids are doing the best they can and will try even harder. And we have a great Pitching Coach….

23-6 on March 31st

I will take it!!!

Oh and it actually appears that for once ….we are the best Baseball team in Nebraska! :Hooray:

Was looking like an atypically quick business trip to Omaha, then…negotiations got messy. Liking our closer: “this is your offer, take it or leave it!” So now both 11- and 7-game win streaks. And remain perfect midweek with target on back. For those that endured the CU rally, I get any griping and concern, but I was distracted and it looks like just a win to me!
:)

Onto PSU at the Haymarket!

GBR!

I have had the same thought, John. Yes, we need the Robot balls and strike system. When the Giants lost the last game of the 2021 playoff game of the season to the Dodgers, it was on a check swing that did not reach half of the plate, and whoever it was, was called out on strikes! Even the Dodger commentators could not believe it was a bat that went thru the plate. It was a perfect check swing. Wonder who that umpire was rooting for. Forgot what would have happened if it was called a check swing. Do you remember? In any case, Dodgers were handed the game on a terrible call by the 1st base umpire, I believe.
Talk to you later, John. Happily, we won tonite, only because the last batter did NOT allow the ump to give another bad call.
Below is more evidence that umps play favorites. Especially, when played at Dodger Stadium!

Decided to go to Google...........and found this. Corroboration on my remarks:
