Nebraska 7-0 start? Andy Staples says yes

With a nice bounce of some good, fair fortune, I also believe NU can reach 7-0. Will they? No idea, but the ability is there. They will be more gifted than any of the 7. Rhule and his year two jumps? 4 games at Temple, 5 at Baylor. 4 puts NU at 9-3, and 5 puts NU at 10-2. No certainty in anything, but I can see this team making some national news this year.

If they are 7-0 with a freshman QB they won't "fall off". They will be a much better team in game 8 than game 1 and no team will have an easy time with them. That is IF they have that 7-0 success. We would be considering two different teams but being undefeated after 7 implies some serious growth from the freshmen we might not see otherwise.

What gives me some hope is, this guy is the #1 QB in the country. Look back, the past 8-9 years, how consistently bad the QB play has been? Just awful mostly. Always around the bottom in turnover margin. Nebraska has been in so many games, only to take themselves out of it. If the turnovers stop at alarming rates, and the QB play is 30-40% better, the sky is the limit. Like I’ve said before, Matt Rhule isn’t coming for Iowa and Wisconsin, he’s coming for Michigan, Ohio State, and Georgia. We have a serious coach, and the end game is championships

I actually think this is our breakout year. Don't know how high the bar gets set, but I'm looking forward to it.
I do too. MR is very detail oriented, so was TO. We as fans always knew what to expect, the coaches knew what to expect and the players knew as well.
A well planned game plan, your opponent has to go outside the box to really be effective. Or they have to just beat you. I think the team is detail oriented enough, technique oriented enough, put in positions to win the stress is on the opponents now, and some of our mistakes just won't happen.
They are ready this year. Normal bumps, rookie qb, new players etc.
When you play the ball well and you're still completing passes, like MR says three more.

Agree with you but what that translates to in terms of wins we’ll see. I think 10 wins is our ceiling but only if Dylan is good

But what I am confident in is we will be a physical punishing team, have positive net turnover margin and a credible passing game. Imagine how many more wins we would have had the last 10 years if we emulated these characteristics

Watched Sip and Callahan talking about our 2019 team. Jaimes, Jurgens, the twins, our dbs, good TEs., Jojo, Cam, Lamar Jackson, Carlos Davis, Garrett Nelson.
All bus team. Yugo coaching.
They think we have better talent, I do too, and we have much better coaching.
Our D which had some players on it, finished 64th that year, and though it wasn't complimentary football, all that talent and middle of the pack, oof.
Our offense finished only 55th that year, year two under SF. Wandale, Spielman, Stoll, Allen.

Our coaching has been bad

If we won 10 games I'd be both shocked and thrilled. That would be step past what I think is likely to happen.

I agree they'll play physical football, take better care of the ball and we will be able to throw a pass to convert a 3rd and 5. That's a game changer. If we'd have been able to do that going back to 2014, we certainly wouldn't have a losing record.

Sometimes we could Yolo the hell out of it though
