NEB vs PSU - Thursday - 12/19/24 - 8pm ctrl (Approx) Nat'l Semi-final - Louisville

I had a long reply......then read this. This says it all. PSU was just better. Sucks but truth and they proved it.
They were better, but I thought it shows how sometimes luck plays a part. Creighton probably should have won there, up 22-16 we should have won, and beating us earlier got them their number 1 seed. If any one of those three goes the other way things are so much different.

The one thing I haven't really seen talked about, but to me may have been a very big factor was them playing for their coach. With everything she has gone through and will still go through fighting cancer you have to think it made the players play even harder for her.

I was actually pulling for PSU vs Louisville because of what the PSU coach is dealing with. It sends a powerful message about perseverance and love for each other through adversity.

Actually.....i felt Creighton had them as well. I honestly think that is what impressed me with PSU: Every game i watch they literally got better as the game continued....where as every other team including us didn't.

As much as I love NU and despise PSU.....I have to give it to them. I came away impressed. They earned it and wanted it more than anyone. When down...their body language never changed. I was honestly impressed.

I was at the match. Whether touring Churchill Downs, the LouVile Slugger museum, eating lunch anywhere, Louisville could have been mistaken for Lincoln. At the semifinal, the crowd was at least 50% huskers, probably 25% cards, and 10% each pit and PSU. The atmosphere was beyond amazing. Such a fun experience. And two incredible matches.
I really couldn’t bring myself to write about the match until now, and now pretty much everything has been said. I will say this. I know the team won’t admit it, and maybe doesn’t really feel it, but I think they were sure they had it and took their foot off the gas a little bit. And I’m not blaming them in saying that, it is such a natural reaction given how they had played those first two sets. I am very happy with how the team has responded, however, and now it’s on to next year.
