I should not have used the term "we suffer for our actions". I was speaking for me, a poor, powerless individual, and should have said "I suffer for my misdeeds and actions".

I just wanted to Note, Here Sorsby decided to withdraw from school and Filed for the Supplemental NFL draft. The NFL today announced that because he was the only entrant there was not sufficient reason to hold a Supplemental Draft in 2026. Sorsby is screwed
I wonder why the NFL declined. Wonder if this opens them up for a lawsuit?

NFL to Sorsby … you might get away with your shenanigans with the NCAA but we are not taking your crap here in the NFL! Scolded him for lack of documentation, scolded him for his gambling behavior, scolded him for his lack of penitence.

I guess the league released this publicly? That seems unnecessary, but maybe it’s a way to let their teams know not to have anything to do with this guy.

On the contrary I think the league is sending a message about gambling.
The looseness of what is happening in college had the potential of bleeding into the NFL. I think the league is saying that there’s a line and if you cross that line you’re not going to play in the NFL.
Between fantasy football, prop bets and game bets … I think they’re trying their hardest to keep the impropriety out as much as possible.
Good comment. It’s a better reason for them to make this letter public. I imagine players get guidance and warnings about gambling activities every year in training camp as well, but demonstrating real world consequences is a better teacher.
Probably some of the same guidance and warnings every CFB player gets every season.
For Sorsby to have received that guidance and warnings … only to ignore it 7,000 times gives me zero reason to sympathize for him. For him to skirt appropriate punishment from CFB enrages me.
I’m concerned that he’s gonna try to resurrect his collegiate career but hopefully the NCAA continues its appeal of the loser judge’s ruling in Texas just to squash further abuse of the legal system.

I don’t see any way Texas tech revisits this. As I understand he has already withdrawn from school. At this point they just want to wash their hands. The kid needs to pay his one year penalty and then try again.
