Why would CBS put their traditional game on TBS?, i know TBS. TNT. TRU, ran earlier round games. But CBS had a retrospective special show about their sit-com, THE NEIGHBORHOOD, that they put on the CBS mothership station instead of the title game. Are they taking a loss on their mega billion $$ commitment to the ncaa tournament ? Their viewership #s had to be less.

I believe I had read that CBS owns the rights to the NCAA tournament and then sells parts off to TBS,TNT, and TRU for some Big $$$$ and of course that way you have to have a subscription to watch the Games on those Channels

Dish has a dispute ongoing with CBS/NBC (Gray Media) so I was personally glad for it. Haven’t had CBS and the likes for over a month. Only thing I really miss is ME TV.

Contract runs out in a couple months and now I’ve been getting the wife used to YouTube tv so we will move to that.

Texas Dish.

Live sports on television is headed for a major crash and burn. Greed is running everything and they are pricing themselves right out of business. All major sports but particularly NFL, MLB, COLLEGE FOOTBALL. COLLEGE BASKETBALL isn't far behind. I don't watch the NBA but it seems they are staying somewhat conservative and therefore still available to the average fan. Same with NHL. But the first three I mentioned are running up against a wall. And my prediction of several months ago that the NFL will stage a Super Bowl in a foreign country in the next 10 yrs appears to be wrong. It looks like it will be within 5yrs.

I keep an antenna hooked up just for those occasions (contract carrier dispute with on-air channel). And it's free.

I had one at one time. Where I’m at, I still can’t get NBC with over air as I’m kinda in a low spot. It’s also just kind of a pain in the butt to switch back and forth. As Kilgore Trout said, I think the league’s are really doing themselves a disservice as I’m not hunting down what pay service has a particular game on at this point. I’m not going to Peacock or Amazon Prime for Thursday night football. If it’s on my normal cable and I see it on the guide, I will tune in but if I don’t see a game on my guide then I won’t watch. I didn’t watch any NCAA men’s games on CBS this year.

Of course all bets are off with the Huskers as I will seek them anywhere.
