NCAA 1st Round, Nebraska vs Louisville, 3-21-2025, Ft. Worth, TX

Tenth seed Huskers draw tough first round game against 7 seed Cardinals. Go Huskers!
8 or 9 seeds are roughly equivalent. For a 10 seed or lower it’s always going to be an uphill battle. Hope the ladies have their determined/never-quit game ready.

Of all the 8-10 seeds, I like the spot for the Huskers. TCU has had a solid season with a bunch of good transfers (Van Lith, who has been on top teams in Louisville and LSU, is the big name). But, of all the 2-seeds to face, I'd take TCU.

TCU has finished 8th, 9th, or 10th in conference play the past four season. Prior to last season, it was a ten team conference. The players are much, much better and I happened to catch recent interviews with Van Lith and others. They have a ton of confidence and chemistry; but, how will they do on the first really big stage for the school?

The other number 2s are U Conn, Duke, and NC State.

Louisville’s top scorer missed the last few games, but is practicing this week. If our team plays like they did for 3 quarters against UCLA, anything is possible.

Well - TCU has made the Elite 8 and looking good. Depending on what you think of the transfer portal, TCU is either one of the greatest turnaround stories in college basketball history or just a sign of the times when you can quickly assemble an all-star team.
