So happy for Natalie!

Yeah, Clark surpassed 3,000 points. I still think Jaz should have been B1G Player of the Week! I guess Amy really should have kept her in the game long enough to get the triple double in the first half.

Jaz doesn't seem like the type of player who needs "bulletin board material" to get motivated for a game, but maybe this oversight will give the Huskers a little bit of extra motivation going forward.

  • The 6-2 forward from O'Fallon, Mo., averaged 12.5, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals for the Huskers last week.
  • In Thursday's victory at Wisconsin, Potts powered the Huskers with 16 second-half points to help Nebraska improve to 3-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since 2011-12. She added five rebounds and a career-high three steals against the Badgers.
  • Potts added nine points, four rebounds and a career-high four assists against No. 14 Indiana on Sunday.
  • For the season, Potts leads Big Ten freshmen in both scoring (11.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.9 rpg) while hitting 72.1 percent of her two-point field goals and 81.1 percent of her free throws.

  • Potts, a 6-2 forward from O'Fallon, Mo., averaged 9.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals as Nebraska split a pair of Big Ten games last week.
  • On Sunday at Minnesota, Potts produced her 11th double-figure scoring effort of the season with 10 points and six rebounds.
  • In Thursday's win over Illinois, Potts had eight points, three rebounds and a season-high three steals to help the Huskers to a victory over the Fighting Illini.
  • On the season, Potts leads all Big Ten freshmen in both scoring (11.2 ppg) and rebounding (5.8 rpg), including 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in Big Ten play. She also leads the Huskers with 10 steals over six conference games (1.8 spg). The two-time Missouri High School Player of the Year also leads Nebraska in blocked shots on the season.

At this point, I'm already trying to figure out how we get the NCAA to give Alexis a 5th year so we get to see a lineup of Markowski, Potts and Britt Prince together for two years instead of just 2024-25.

Iowa, Clark's not staying forever...we're coming for you!

Natalie Potts brought home her eighth Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week award of the 2023-24 season, when the conference announced its honors on Monday, March 4.

Potts, who won eight of the 15 weekly honors, was the conference's most consistent freshman from start to finish this season. She captured the first and last freshman awards of the year and won at least one weekly award in all five months of the season. Her eight weekly honors matched the total by Nebraska's most recent Big Ten Freshman of the Year Alexis Markowski in 2021-22. No other conference freshman has claimed more than three weekly honors this season.
