"All respect was gone?"
Respect from Colorado?
Is their "respect" expressed in raw liters of urine thrown at Nebraska fans, or in the thousands of dollars damage done keying Nebraska cars and flattening their tires?
Yes, it's an expression. Years of allowing poor line play or being terrible in 2 of 3 phases of the game or really good in one so the other 2 can kill us over a half. We can be honest with the assessment or be irrational. People at this stage are pointing out good reasons but think simple solutions are just right there in front of his face. All the decisions require tweaking, most of which likely take some extra growing pains. Why keep trying to reinvent the wheel because a few fans think....anything really. Rhule is going to take the time to address everything, previous coaches fixed a few things and put a bandaid on the rest. Anyway, even Pelini threw in the towel on a few aspects of the game, i.e. recruiting, PR, and developing strong QBs.sins?
sins?
He connected that to the fumbles. I think he is trying to create cover for his QB long enough to see if he can get over it.Did Rhule say he didn’t prepare the team for crowd noise? It’s not like we play in HS stadiums. Our coach seems to indicate our team is fragile. That is worrisome.
I get the feeling what having to take care of the football will be defined by two people, Jeff Sims and Matt RhuleRhule: "Jeff's our QB . . . but Jeff has to take care of the ball."
I might put that differently, it takes your eyes off of what do I/we need to Improve on to winRhule: "[Being] Afraid to lose . . . is [being] afraid to win."
