I think it was time to move on. He made a few good hires and laid down foundations, but football is treading water and basketball hasn’t won quite yet.
If I had to guess, it’s one of 4 things:
1. Health issue
2. The bottle
3. Got another gig
4. Big money donors want a new guy in place should Frostee need to be taken out.

Disagree. Yes football has not turned the corner. But basketball seems to be from a recruiting perspective. Moos has been a really good AD IMO.
Benning stated he thinks they have their guy. Ed Stewart?

His football coach is 12-20 heading into his 4th year at a blue blood football school. That will get an AD fired at any football school. He had the luxury of hiring a Nebraska guy, but another poor year that fortune will be gone.

He’s been decent. He’s made the right hires, Frost, Hoiberg, and Bolt were no-brainers. Football is the bread and butter though and we know how these things work.
