Jac Caglionone drops to the Royals at 6. That could be a steal if his hitting translates to the pros. Witt hitting in front of Caglionone for the next decade? Heck yea.

Condon playing half his games in Coors should be awesome as well.

Watching that kid play in the post season was a lot of fun. Having the Royals take him is icing on the cake. I’d be shocked if he’s not at least a good player at the big league level, but only time will tell.

Caglianone has some work to do if he doesn’t want to be Joey Gallo 2.0. He chased way too many pitches in college. He got away with it against his competition, but MLB pitchers will have him guessing and whiffing. If he works a bit more on seeing pitches earlier and being more disciplined, he will be a fine player. Royals definitely did the right thing by taking him. Ever draft pick comes with risk and he’s a massive human with crazy power. It’s nice to see the Royals not be stupid. They picked up some promising pitchers in the draft as well.

That Hunter Harvey trade was typical Royals stupidity though. I mean Harvey has wipeout stuff, but he will 100% choke in most save opportunities. He might be able to make McArthur better while setting him up. But unloading your #2 prospect and the a #39 comp pick is rather ridiculous. Then again, Mike Rizzo fleeces organizations on trades on an annual basis.
Just my thoughts. Not a Royals fan but do hope they have success.
