Safety not Defensive Backs. Defensive Backs Coach, Williams.
His leaving isn’t the problem. He wasn’t here long enough to learn the players names or them his. But not having a safety’s coach less than two months before the spring game isn’t ideal. Spring practices will be underway very soon. I wonder what the plan is?
Yes at NU , but with Baltimore he will also still be just an Asst. to the Defensive backs coach
I mean, correct me if I’m wrong but did NU or any team for that matter ever have a “safeties specific” coach? I know that now you can have unlimited staff but for cripes sake this isn’t any major sky is falling moment. I’m pretty sure Rhule or Aurich can find another one that’s more than capable. My goodness how in the world did Mike Brown ever get so good when we never had a safety coach when he was here.

The most important input into a player’s success is the player themselves. Coaches just help guide folks in the right direction.
Do we need a safeties coach? Maybe not.
