That’s 2 double-digit favorites and conference front runners going down today. This is going to be the norm going forward, especially with the new 105-man roster limit.

Teams can’t stockpile talent and build depth the way they used to. You can’t show up with your C+ game and expect to win.

Sure, but I’m referencing front-runners. Ohio State and Miami brought their C+ games and paid the price. We are still a spoiler team at best, and we almost caught OSU sleeping a few weeks ago.

Why does anyone think Ohio State is great? I think they are mediocre. Same for Oregon. I am going to wager the first CFP 12 team version is going to make the SEC look good and it's going to be awful. Wiscky Oregon was 16-13. We were 4 pts less than tOSU. Big 10 to me feels weak this year. Big12 and ACC are even worse. We will see though.

1) We are a team with flaws, which is different than an outright bad team. Really, any team with 2 NFL caliber interior D-lineman can compete on any given Saturday.
2) Ohio State’s O-line is sub-par (their weakness against our strength) and Howard is overrated.
3) They came in overconfident and looking ahead to PSU, and we punched them in the mouth.

I think one of the 'betting experts' on one of the pre-games said he would put money on Notre Dame right now. The other 4 on the pregame chuckled at that as did I. With 12 teams it is going to be the team with that is the healthiest and has the hot hand. We shall see. I think I would still put money on Oregon at this point.

Miami isn’t a top team. They’ve been living on borrowed time. Should have 2-3 more losses. They had a bunch of luck earlier in the year. That luck ran out.
