MBB GAME #28 (2/25)(19-8)(9-7) Nebraska vs (17-9)(8-7) Minnesota @ PBA (SOLD OUT) BTN 5:30 CT PM GAME THREAD

. . . and 20.

Tominaga and Wilcher score a combined 6 points and NU wins by 18 points.

20 and 8. It seems so hard to believe that this team is 12 frigging games over .500 with the chance to climb even higher. NU isn't winning cheap either. Double digit wins for their four game winning streak.

At the beginning of the year, I warned there would be ups and downs. And there have been downs. But it is just amazing to watch an NU sports team that can win games coming down the stretch instead of leaving puddles on the field or court. It began late last year and has continued through this year.

Making the tourney seems like it is all but a lock at this point. I guess if they lose out (including Big Ten tourney), they might not get in--but I just don't see that happening at this point.

But other questions . . .

Can this team stay strong through the finish?

Can this team perform well in the Big Ten Tourney?

And obviously, the big one . . . can this team win a Big Dance game? But if so, why stop at 1? Two wins is a sweet 16. It's possible but got to stay focused.

One final question, should this team be ranked?

I guess Hoiberg can keep his job for another year. At this point, that is not a question.

One other question. Can this team win a close game?

At least it shouldn't be a question about Hoiberg, but there are some who will bring it up anyway.

I do like the red uniforms at home. It means more to me when saying "GO BIG RED" to the team actually wearing RED!

And no, saying "go big white" just doesn't work for me.
