Granted, it's only the beginning to his professional career and in the lower rungs (the Arizona Rookie League), but 10 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 17 Ks (!) and NO walks so far. Not bad at all.
That is a good start.

Hope he just continues to improve and move up the ladder.

So Matt finished the season with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the Indians' NY-Penn League affiliate in Niles, OH.

Final numbers there, too, were really good, with 35.2 IP, 3-0 record, with 40 Ks versus 4 BBs. Including the Rookie League stint, 4-0 win-loss and 57 Ks versus just the 4 BBs for his first summer in the pros.

Not too shabby. Let's hope these can translate up the ranks for him in 2020.
