we are seeing a team that was playing top notch basketball for 24 games, then after the Michigan game things changed. Pretty sure most everyone can see that, whatever the reason is..
NU was playing top level basketball, but they are not at that level right now.. Is it still good enough to get those coveted tournament wins? I think so, but it isn't a forgone conclusion.. unless they can get things turned around. if they do that, then I could see them making the sweet 16, or better.
They should be able to win the USC game, UCLA will be tougher and I am not saying they HAVE to win it.
Yeah, need was just me saying I want those 2 wins.. they don't need to win both.
We are playing like the team that we are. A top 15 team with a likelyhood of the sweet 16 and an outside chance that we can steal a game or two after that.
There was a time when it looked like we might be legit top 5. We arent. And we arent playing as well as we did ealier in the year. Part of that is that good coaches in the big ten have found ways to slow down what was working earlier in the year. Fred has mentioned hes trying to tweek things to get it rolling a little better. If he does, this team has a shot at the final four. A great shot? No but a definate shot. If he doesnt, we will likely end at the sweet 16. Thats where we are at.
Im excited to see if we make a few tweeks and get it done. In the meantime, the same serial whiners will whine. Thats how it goes

Man, you must not have seen the Kansas State, Oklahoma, Winthrop, New Hampshire, North Dakota games… we’ve been winning uglyIsh all year.
If you look back at the game threads, you will find him complaining. " we wont win Big Ten games if we dont play better!. We wont win if we shoot this bad all the time!". Du. Lol, its just how some people choose to live life.

I think you are misreading me. You tend to be more critical about things. Youre a glass half full guy. Some guys are wired like that. Hell, youre not wrong when you say we wont win Big Ten games if we shoot poorly. You want nothing but the best for our Huskers. Id go as far to say youre one of the most knowledgeble basketball fans on hmax. You just have a negative lean. No biggie, imo
