I know it hasn’t been announced. But anyone have any insider info on Maryland game time? Coming in from Texas. Homecoming. So just not sure how I want to approach.

Went to the HuskerMax tailgate last year when Johnny Rodgers was there. Cool experience to meet him. Not going to lie though, felt awkward not really knowing anyone. Felt out of place.
Understandable. If it makes you feel better, a significant number of the people who show up each week don't know many others. It is an activity well suited for extroverts, not so easy for introverts. The alcohol helps with that, for those so inclined.
At one game last year I looked at the group, and said something to Ron about how amazing it was that he knew so many people, and he shrugged and looked around and said he didn't know who most of the people were, either. But it didn't matter, everyone was having a good time as far as we could tell. It took showing up for the better part of a season, for me, for faces and names to finally stick a bit.
Husker family is still family. Everyone is welcome.

These observations about the tailgate are leading me to start mentally preparing a new paragraph to add to the weekly tailgate thread. Good stuff.
But knowing that people can be uncomfortable entering a new space, I have made an effort to include photos and video so that it is not a complete unknown to anyone who has never been there before.

Good point. People are more likely to enter a space full of strangers when they know they're in the right place.
