The staff had nothing to do with their own QB seeking a specialist to give him further development.:lol: Even though it's quoted in the article that you posted that Calhoun first heard about Martinez from Ron Brown.

Calhoun learned of Martinez through friend and former Husker cornerback Ralph Brown. Calhoun called Taylor's dad, Casey, and started studying film of one of his new pupils, surprising the junior quarterback by rattling off from memory throws Martinez made last season, when he passed for 2,089 yards and 13 touchdowns.

THey would give our current husker offense MANY more weapons to worry about . We would have a LEGIT
throwing threat at ANY time. THis would help our running game even more, and our lineman would look AA> YES

Well, Ganz was probably mobile enough to run this new offense, but he was too slow to be nearly as effective at the option...he was a better passer though. The other two QB's, would not fit this offense at all.

Ok.....so you scored on this one. maybe I should have read the article rather than skimmed the article. It still doesn't prove that the staff had nothing to do with it. Again. Martinez already had a situation for calling his dad (someone not associated with the program) during a game. I highly doubt that he would go to an actual coach to seek help about something without the consent from his OC or HC in some way. Or maybe he was recommended. What connection does Raulph have with Martinez to the point that he would shop him to a position coach to get help. Would he do that without communication with the current staff? Is there any "facts" that proves that none of this happens or are you still pretty much throwing out your opinions in the form of what you consider to be facts.

P.S. I forgot all about Ralph Brown and I don't know how. I remember meeting him in 99 when he spoke at Omaha Central's sports banquet. He was a really good (kid at the time) guy.
