I know a guy who switched from tight end to center who thinks it worked out.Hope it works out . . . dude has a rough injury streak going. I'm always a little suspect of the position-switching. Doesn't work out very well all that often. Cody Glenn from RB to LB is one. Ty from offense to DT is another. Haarberg was a bit of a push.
Guess we'll find out.
He switched his first year on campus, spent two more years honing his craft and even then was drafted more on potential than what was accomplished.I know a guy who switched from tight end to center who thinks it worked out.
So what’s your point? You always seem to make one. My rebuttal is to the poster I responded to that references position changes don’t seem to work out and that poster gave examples. I gave a single example of one that did. And somehow you want to dispute it?He switched his first year on campus, spent two more years honing his craft and even then was drafted more on potential than what was accomplished.

I don’t like our TE depth before this move and definitely don’t like it after.
1 senior graduated - Haarberg
1 starter returning - Lindenmeyer
2 semi-tested backups returning - Nelson and Echternach
2 other players on the roster - RFr Ingwerson and King
1 new recruit Sorensen.
Cam Jurgens was switched from TE to OL ... his first year on campusSo it didn't work out?
To draw a parallel between Cam Jurgens and Mac Markway is apples and oranges! So what’s your point? You always seem to make one. Let’s go then. Did Cams position change work out or not? It’s a simple yes or no.
wsbsas.... these guys are simply saying that sometimes a position switch does work. That's all. No one is crunching the numbers on a super computer .. no one is thinking about fruit....no one is making in-depth comparisons and parallels. .... just simply.. yeah... it has worked for some dudes. To draw a parallel between Cam Jurgens and Mac Markway is apples and oranges!
Its an invalid comparison for so many reasons and to use it as a baseline to justify that the transition to D-End is slippery slope thinking.
Yes - Cam Jurgens position switched did work.
I'm still waiting for Beyonce to return my call - that could happen too!
No … they are suggesting that since it worked out for Cam Jurgens that it could work out here as well.wsbsas.... these guys are simply saying that sometimes a position switch does work. That's all.
