Its not that crazy of a discussion...LSU has played a much tougher schedule than the 95 Huskers. Not saying they are better...but it is a discussion for sure.

You can't say this for sure until the season is over. A lot of the ranked teams they played have been busts.... mainly overrated SEC teams like 6-6 florida and 7-5 auburn.

The LSU defense is flat out nasty...much like ours in 95. In a few years when we see how many of those LSU guys are in the pros and compare it to how many of our 95 group made the league it would be interesting.

You might want to do a little more research before making comments like this. LSU has beat 4 (possibly 3) teams that will finish in the top 25 at the end of the year and one they couldn't cross the goal line against and had 2 of those field goals went through the uprights, the wouldn't be sitting where they are. Nebraska beat 5 teams that finished top 25 that year, convincingly.

An NU team that is not generally recognized, but was well thought of by some very good football men was the 1965 team. Choked on a last second loss to a good AFA team, other than that they played very well. As far as LSU is concerned, a very good defensive team, offense is questionable, probably need better balance to be truly great.

I was at that game and NU did not choke in the slightest. In fact Frank had 205 yards rushing that day and the game was at Falcon Stadium.

I think you are confusing that game with the '63 game and that was a very good AFA team.
