My first thought, The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

Long time ago, I liked it ... original Day the Earth Stood Still movie (1951). "Klaatu barada nikto"

The original Rollerball wasn’t a great movie, but it had a point of view. The remake was a soulless travesty.

Walking Tall. I believe two remakes. All crappy IMO.

Anyway I enjoyed The Time Machine remake (2002). Though this film received mixed reviews ..... lots of reviewers added bad remake.

Mostly never heard of remake movies.

I think the remake might have been truer to the novel. It had a very interesting epilogue the original didnt

A sequel isn't a remake. I agree both were terrible, but I don't consider them remakes.

I liked 2002 The Time Machine as well. One of the few movies I actually own digitally.

The Avengers(Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes), King Kong(take your pick), The Haunting, Godzilla, A Star is Born(not that the Streisand version wasn't crap), The Longest Yard( I hate Adam Sandler too). I could go on and on, Hollywood has no shame.
