I agree. I would have preferred to have all the girls stay, but it was not to be.Her 22 stats, when they made the final four, were unreal, last year more like Bekka and Andi. Probably an upgrade from Maggie. All three likely to play a lot if healthy. While Blackwell and Landfair are likely upgrades on CJ and Maggie, I liked our chemistry and would have liked it if both had stayed instead. But once they left, kudos on Cook and staff to bring in the best outside and best middle in the portal.
With Beason, Murray, Krause, Pierce and Landfair, and Blackwell with 4 years only at Middle, no chance she plays outside for NU. It is possible, I guess, that she could be backup behind Beason, but I see Krause or Landfair as more likely there. I think she will get more middle play than Maggie, but I agree that Bekka and Andi likely will start more than Blackwell. Not convinced Blackwell is a better middle than either Bekka or Andi. I think Cook might want her as an outside blocker. I see Landfair riding the pine and used as a situational player; hit .222 last season and defensive numbers do not impress. Wouldn't say her best days are passed, but . . .
