Hannah Whitish got herself benched Tuesday night.......

The moment Whitish made a basket to go over 2,000 points, coach Doug Pickarts had her sit out the rest of the game, resting for Friday’s 7 p.m. regional semifinal against Cassville (11-11) in the Richland Center sectional.

Hannah Whitish scored 32 points leading her top ranked Barneveld team over Hillsboro 66-34 in the Wisconsin Division 5 Sectional finals.


Barneveld advances to the Wisconsin State tournament to defend the state championship they won last year.

Senior point guard Hannah Whitish scored 27 of her 32 points in the first half as the two-time defending state champion Eagles (27-0) jumped out to a 37-14 halftime lead en route to the win over the Tigers (20-7).



Junior Teegan Pickarts added 13 points for Barneveld, which will be making its fourth consecutive trip to state.
