What do the stats say?
Is Steph a better shooter than LeBarbie?

LeBarbie has him beat on flopping by a country mile, that's for sure! My Goodness!

Today’s NBA is better than any other era. It’s more skilled and more athletic. The defensive versatility has never been better. Players like 6’4” Gary Payton aren’t guarding larger wings like Jordan anymore. Players like Kawhi, Giannis, and Jimmy Butler would be.

Even legends like Larry Bird acknowledge today’s players are significantly better. When you go back and watch games in the 80’s and 90’s, the countless deficiencies stick out like a sore thumb. Not to mention, the league is now globalized. Europe, South America, and Africa are developing youth players at an elite level. Toni Kukoc was a European legend back in the day. He’s just an average overseas player now.

Nostalgia and memes aren’t going to change that.
I think you're missing the mark. The NBA, basketball in general isnt a better game, unlike football where weight and diet had changed it much more.
So then if we can go back, just what did make it better then? Numbers. The generational numbers were much much higher back then. I think if you look there you'll be surprised.

He gets overlooked because of the era he played in with Magic and MJ dominating. Bird did things Bronny couldn't do ever. Today's NBA fan doesn't know what the NBA was like back then. As this guy said "those players earned their checks back then". Damn right, it was a full contact sport.

He also gets overlooked because his body started breaking down in 87. If he had 3 or 4 more years of his prime, I think he's a top 3 or 5 player all time. 50/40/90 season (50% fg, 40% 3 pt, 90% ft). I'm pretty sure only he and Kevin Durant are the only two who have ever done it.

No, he's not a contender for GOAT. He's top 5, probably top 3. But in the modern era, he's sooooooo far below Jordan. And of course, it's hard not to put Russell #1 and Jordan #2, which is why I said modern era

He ruined his back from shoveling gravel for a new driveway for his parents. He was never the same after that.

LOL no he's not

Hyperbole and other logical fallacies FTW?

LOL yeah we know who you consider to be "eggspurts"

Nah, defense has taken a back seat to showmanship. More travelling than ever. Winning has taken a back seat to inflating individual stats.

Even legends like Larry Bird acknowledge today’s players are significantly better.
Big deal. That's ONE guy. There are dozens of other legends that disagree. Even Bird says that today's "all star" games are a joke. It's just individual showboating. They don't care about winning in those games. No defense. No pride in the game. Any "All Star Game" stats you use to prop up LeBarbie are invalid.
Today's players don't play full seasons. They fake injuries and take games off to "save themselves" for the playoffs.

Winners want to play.
Winners want to win.
GOATs win.
