It's possible. Right now, a lot of the vitriol towards him is mostly because people are just sick of him and the Chiefs. Between going to 3 straight Super Bowls, the State Farm commercials, and Taylor Swift, people have had enough.
But Mahomes still has a looooong ways to go to reach Brady levels. If he starts going into the fetal position every time a pass rusher is within yards of him, then we can talk about it.

He acts like a baby whenever he doesn’t get the call he thinks he should, etc. Very Brady like. As a player, he’s much less likely to take a nose dive.

There are very few NFL QBs who don't act like a baby when they don't get a PI call on every damn incomplete pass. But there are some worse than others for sure. I didn't really have a problem with him until the offsides call against Buffalo a month ago.

That guy was so far offsides, the Chiefs should of cut him on the spot

Yeah. There really wasn't any question on that one. The excuses I heard was they say the NFL usually gives a warning before making the call and they weren't given a warning. I think that's BS. These guys are professionals so they should be smart enough to know if they are lined up properly.

I am reminded of Steve DeBerg who played of the Chiefs in 1990.

DeBerg posted a career-high 395 yards passing against Denver on September 17, 1990. He seriously injured his non-throwing hand in a loss to the Houston Oilers on December 16, which required the insertion of a pin into his broken finger to keep it straight. For their last two games and the playoffs, the Chiefs ran their offense out of the shotgun formation to protect DeBerg from having the football jammed in his injured hand during the center-to-quarterback exchange. Kansas City won those games to clinch their second playoff appearance in over a decade, with DeBerg completing 44 of 59 passes for 527 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. In a 17–16 loss to the Miami Dolphins in the 1990 AFC wild-card game, he completed 17 of 30 pass attempts for 269 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

If I recall corretly, the pin was in the pinkie finger.

As an aside, that year was the first of four in-a-row Super Bowl losses by the Buffalo Bills.

Looks like its already a done deal. That sucks, I'm a Chiefs fan. Oh, well, I'm tired of the Swifty drama anyway...

I think the outburst in that Buffalo game was a compilation of all the screw ups his receivers did this year and he chose the wrong outlet at the wrong time. Do you really think it's a coincidence that Toney has been injured ever since? Dude cost the chiefs at least 2 games this season if not 3.

I'm sure you have seen the super bowl logo colors conspiracy theory as well
Hahaha. No, I haven't seen that one. I stumbled on this before this weekend's games and got a laugh, but also thought I should keep it just in case those are the two SB teams. If so, then I can start going down the rabbit hole of NFL conspiracy theories. Well, I'm probably too lazy for that (or have too many other productive things to do), but maybe.
