I went to the Chiefs games at Sherman field. I saw Dick Stuart hit a few out of there. IIRC he had 72 HRs one year. That Dick Wagner story sounds familiar. I forgot his exact role. (edit) And the pitching coach was Larry Shepard who was the manager of the Lincoln Chiefs in the 1950s. When he retired from baseball Larry retired in Lincoln because he liked it so much.
Actually, Dr. Strangeglove had 66 homers and 171 strikeouts in 1956. I was at some of the games but as an infant. My parents went to quite a few.
