Jersey patch deal for NU?

No question that major sports are figuring out new ways to monetize their brands. But I don't think the NFL will allow Jerry Jones to bid out for the Cowboys' own patch, for his profit. My understanding is that those types of revenue are shared equally.
I'm not sure how the NFL would handle it. The NBA lets individual teams negotiate their own deals, similar to CFB. I think there would be more revenue generated if each team got to control the bidding war.

I noticed that several schools are scoring deals from $10-17 million for jersey patches. Ohio State, Texas, aTm seem to be the big ones. Did we get a deal? Anyone call Runza or Nebraska Furniture?
Runza couldn't afford it; NFM is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, which by the way, is owned by Warren Buffet, who can, make that CAN afford it. I've often wondered why WB doesn't support NU the way Phil Knight supports Oregon.

WB supports the Academic side quite well. Myself I have no problem with that, even though I love Husker Athletics I would rather see his giving to Academics then the Texas Tech mode of Cody Campbell just my :Sign2cents:

Warren Buffet can “choose” to do what he wants with his own money.

For 130 years (give or take), college athletes have struggled to make ends meet, pay rent, buy food etc. (with a few exceptions, see SEC and SWC) while juggling school work with practice obligations. Couldn't even take a free ham sandwich without getting in trouble. Now all of a sudden they're raking in NIL deals that would have made NFL players drool a few years ago.

Make it make sense.

That’s actually quite easily explained. Call it the pendulum theory, call it an overcorrection, call it whatever label you want. We realize there is a significant error, we aren’t quite sure how to correct it and go overboard, and then things settle somewhere in the middle. Ideally we’d start out in the middle, but perhaps we don’t know where that is until we’ve gone past it?
